Boeing 737 – the world’s most popular passenger aircraft
The Boeing 737 is the world’s most widely used narrow-body medium-range aircraft. Since production began in 1967, more than 15,000 units have been built – an absolute record! This also makes it the most ordered passenger aircraft of all time.
In December 2011, Boeing launched the 737 MAX program, the latest generation of this aircraft. The Boeing 737 MAX features improved aerodynamics and more efficient engines. The first aircraft were delivered in 2017. LOT Polish Airlines was among the first airlines to operate this model, receiving their first Boeing 737 MAX 8 on December 2, 2017.
