Build the TK-3 – the legend of Polish tanks!
The TK-3 light tank, based on the British Carden-Loyd design, was one of the first Polish armored vehicles. These tankettes played a vital role during the September Campaign of 1939, supporting infantry and carrying out reconnaissance missions.
A pioneering design
The TK-3 tankette was one of the first armored vehicles light enough to traverse difficult terrain. With a top speed of 40 km/h, it was agile and suited for quick maneuvers. Thanks to its 2.5 mm steel armor, it offered basic protection against small arms, though it could not withstand heavier cannons.
Deployed in multiple armies
After the September Campaign, when the Polish army had to retreat, several TK-3 tanks were captured by the Germans and Hungarians. They used these vehicles primarily for reconnaissance and support tasks on the Eastern Front and in Italy.
In use until the end of the war
Although the TK-3 lacked significant firepower, the Germans and Hungarians continued to use these tankettes until the end of the war, mainly for transport and reconnaissance.
