During her maiden voyage, on the night of April 14 to 15, 1912, on the Southampton – Cherbourg – Queenstown – New York route, the British transatlantic ocean liner R.M.S. Titanic collided with an iceberg and sank. To this day, this disaster remains one of the most famous maritime accidents of all time and still evokes strong emotions. During the ill-fated journey, there were approximately 2,228 people on board. The Titanic was 268.99 meters long and 29.41 meters wide – a technical marvel of the early 20th century.
About the set
The Titanic building block model consists of 722 COBI bricks. The finished model is 64 cm long and 15 cm high. Numerous details ensure that the scale model (1:450) faithfully reproduces the shape and silhouette of the legendary original.
This edition is equipped with rotating wheels mounted at the bottom of the hull. This allows the ship – with a little help – to “sail” across flat surfaces such as floors, carpets, or tables. In addition, the cranes, propellers, and rudder are also movable.
The manual uses clear icons and pictograms that guide you through the building process step by step. No glue or paint is needed for construction. All graphic details and inscriptions are printed directly onto the bricks with highly durable prints that do not wear, scratch, or fade – even with intensive play or exposure to sun or water. No stickers are used in this model.
The set is recommended for builders aged 8 and up and provides plenty of fun and satisfaction – for both the youngest building block fans and adult history and maritime enthusiasts. The Titanic model looks spectacular on a desk, shelf, or in a child’s or teenager’s room.
