The Panzer IV was developed by Krupp in the 1930s and entered service in 1939. Weighing approximately 25 tons, featuring a 75mm gun and a crew of five, it quickly became the backbone of the German armored forces. Through continuous improvements and adaptations, it remained effective against Allied tanks and anti-tank weapons. More than 8,000 units were produced, making the Panzer IV one of the most common German tanks of the war. The tank was deployed on all fronts, from Poland 1939, France, the Eastern Front, North Africa to the Western Front.
