The Tiger I was one of the most infamous and feared German tanks of the Second World War. Designed as a response to the Soviet T-34 and American Sherman, the Tiger was known for its exceptionally thick armor and powerful firepower. These features made it nearly unbeatable on the battlefield, though production was costly and time-consuming. Despite relatively few Tigers being built, it left a massive mark on warfare and military history.
This Executive Edition of the Tiger I (late Ausf. E) is exceptionally detailed with a 1:28 scale and 1,207 bricks. The model features realistic functions such as a rotating turret, movable barrel, rotating wheels, and fully functional tracks. Notable features include the new paint scheme replica and the modified chassis with improved drive wheels and suspension. The turret has also been completely redesigned for even greater historical accuracy and includes replicated interior details.
Unique to this model is the addition of a miniature Maybach engine, which can be placed inside the tank or displayed separately. Inside, there is space for the included ammunition, and the hatches open smoothly so standard COBI figures can be placed inside. The set is completed with a Tiger 007 nameplate, famous from Normandy.
