The Panzerkampfwagen IV was a German medium tank produced during World War II. It was one of the best armored vehicles of its time. Numerous variants were developed, differing in armor and armament. The Panzer IV remained in production from 1938 to 1945 and maintained its status as the Wehrmacht’s main battle tank. Until 1942, it was even the heaviest tank of the Third Reich.
