The iconic Kübelwagen in large format

Become the owner of the legendary German off-road vehicle Kübelwagen TYP 82, now made of COBI building blocks! This is the first large-scale (1:12) WWII vehicle from COBI. The model is based on the original vehicle on display at the Deutsches Panzermuseum Munster (Germany).

With 1,326 building blocks and a length of 30.5 cm, this model is impressively large, highly detailed, and a true centerpiece for any collection. It looks even more imposing when paired with the upcoming giant Tiger 131 from The Tank Museum!

True-to-life design

This model sets a new standard in detailing and scale. Both the interior and exterior have been recreated with extreme precision:

  • Detailed interior with steering wheel, seats, buttons, switches, and an engine compartment with tools

  • Exterior with an eye for detail, including new exclusive parts, realistic proportions, windows, opening doors, and access to the trunk and engine compartment

  • Steering wheel that controls the wheels, for added realism

  • Rotating wheels and additional equipment elements

Thanks to the 1:12 scale and the high number of parts, COBI can fully showcase the possibilities of their building system. This model guarantees photorealism, impressive dimensions, and precision – every block counts here!

Historical background

The Kübelwagen Type 82 was a German military off-road vehicle produced during World War II. It was developed to meet the Wehrmacht’s need for an easy-to-maintain, economical, and reliable vehicle that could be used on various terrains.

Between 1940 and 1945, more than 50,000 units were built. The Kübelwagen was used as an off-road vehicle, transport, ambulance, reconnaissance vehicle, and even as a platform for light weaponry.

After the war, many vehicles remained in use, both by various countries and in civilian hands. Thanks to its functionality, lightweight construction, and reliability, the Kübelwagen has grown into a classic icon of off-road vehicles – still loved by car enthusiasts worldwide.
