The M8 Scott was a World War II self-propelled howitzer based on the Stuart light tank chassis. The vehicle was also sometimes called the M8 General Scott. It was equipped with a 75 mm howitzer in an open turret. The welded armor provided protection for the crew. Approximately 1,778 units were produced from September 1942 to January 1944.
