Build the legendary Grumman F-14 TOMCAT, an American carrier-based supersonic fighter with variable-sweep wing geometry, using 757 high-quality COBI building blocks. The aircraft was developed by Grumman Corporation to defend the fleet and gain air superiority, and was later equipped for ground attacks and tactical reconnaissance.
The F-14 entered service with the U.S. Navy in 1972 and gained great fame thanks to its iconic role in the movie TOP GUN (1986), in which the protagonist Maverick (Tom Cruise) piloted this aircraft. A special license from TOP GUN™ and NORTHROP GRUMMAN makes this COBI set authentic.
The model features moving wings with variable geometry, retractable landing gear, rotating wheels, and an arsenal of weapons under the wings. Both movie heroes, Maverick and Goose, can be placed in the cockpit, complete with authentic helmets and oxygen masks. The set also includes an elegant display stand with nameplate.
