The Citroën DS 19 Décapotable was presented at the 1955 Paris Motor Show and was a revolutionary convertible within the iconic DS series. Designed by the famous Italian designer Flaminio Bertoni, this model impressed with its futuristic, aerodynamic design and low profile. It was a paragon of elegance and progressive technology and quickly became a symbol of luxury and prestige.
The most characteristic technical feat was the hydropneumatic suspension, which provided unprecedented driving comfort and stability. Under the hood was a 1,911 cm³ four-cylinder petrol engine with 83 hp, coupled to a four-speed gearbox and front-wheel drive – particularly innovative for its time. The DS 19 Décapotable quickly became popular with prominent figures, including politicians, artists, and celebrities, who were seen in this stylish convertible.
The EXECUTIVE EDITION from COBI brings this icon of French automotive history to life in detail. The 1:12 scale model consists of 2,275 building blocks and reaches a length of 39.5 cm.
