The EXECUTIVE EDITION includes the 30.5 cm long car as well as a black brick-built display stand, allowing you to beautifully present this large car model. The stand features a black plaque with the model name and the classic CITROËN logo. Extra accessories like a toolbox and a crate of vegetables can be placed in the trunk!
The model features four opening doors, an opening hood and trunk, a working steering wheel that turns the wheels, and a brick-built engine block. The interior is detailed with high-quality prints – no stickers are used in this model!
The build is simple and clear: the manual is divided into steps and the bricks are packed in numbered bags. This historic vehicle is perfect for anyone interested in automotive history and engineering.
Historical background
The Citroën 2CV has become an icon of the French automotive industry. The model was produced continuously from 1949 to 1990 and was designed before the war. The goal was to create a simple, affordable car for the masses, in line with director Pierre Boulanger’s motto: “quatre roues sous un parapluie” – four wheels under an umbrella.
The car was simple, economical, and comfortable, offering space for four people and luggage. Although the 2CV was called the ugliest car in the world at the 1948 Paris Motor Show, it became a cult object. Over 41 years, nearly 4 million units rolled off the assembly line in various factories worldwide.
In 1980, the special Charleston edition was released in a limited run of 8,000 units. This model was distinguished by its characteristic two-tone paintwork and unique interior finish.
