Build a model of the legendary German aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin with COBI building blocks! The model is designed in the standard 1:300 scale. The structure of the funnels has also been updated.
The high-quality prints accurately reproduce the deck markings and details of the ship from the Second World War. The prints do not wear off, even with intensive use. For the first time, a working aircraft elevator has been designed in a COBI model. Using a knob on the invisible underside of the hull, you can move the elevator up and down with a plane attached to it.
The model comes with eight block-form micro-planes made in new colors. Additionally, the set includes a special transparent brick which, when attached to the stand, gives the effect of a taking-off aircraft.

Historical background:
The Graf Zeppelin is the only aircraft carrier in German history. Construction began on December 28, 1936, in Kiel. By order of Adolf Hitler, work was halted in 1943, even though construction was already over 90% complete. This happened after the withdrawal of all major units following the Battle of the Barents Sea. The ship was towed to Szczecin, where usable equipment was removed. Construction was never finished. In early 1945, the aircraft carrier was partially scuttled and shelled by artillery for fear of advancing Soviet troops. In the summer of 1945, the salvaged ship was included in the Soviet fleet, but it proved unsuitable for renovation. In 1947, it served as a target ship and was sunk in the Baltic Sea. In 2006, the wreck was found 55 km north of Władysławowo at a depth of 87 meters.
