The Messerschmitt Me 262, also known as the Sturmvogel by German pilots and the Turbo by the Allies, was the first jet aircraft to be used in combat. This pioneering aircraft was developed by Germany and entered service in 1944 as an interceptor. Bomber and reconnaissance versions were also built. Despite its late introduction, the Me 262 achieved impressive results: 900 confirmed victories with only 100 losses. The COBI model is inspired by an aircraft now on display at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, once flown by Hans Guido Mutke, who according to unofficial reports was the first person to break the sound barrier.
